	Level 7 PG Diploma in Business Management Awarding Body: Association of Business Executives (ABE) Category: Business Management Level: QCF Level 7 Duration: 12 Months The Association of Business Executives (ABE) Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (QCF) is regulated by Ofqual and is equivalent to level 7 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The qualification provides a route for students to gain advanced entry to a Masters degree at UK universities. The Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (QCF) has been developed by senior university professors, utilising current academic learning and research, as well as employer knowledge and practice. It is therefore an ideal progression route for those who: are currently studying professional qualifications and wish to proceed to a Masters degree in business/management have a related Honours degree but wish to proceed to a Masters level business/management qualification are in employment, at managerial level, and wish to achieve a Masters level qualification The Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (QCF) comprises of five units: 1 Strategic Business Management and Planning 2 Management of Financial Resources and Performance 3 Leadership, Change and People Performance 4 Corporate Strategy, Governance and Ethics in the Global Environment 5 Research Methods and their Application to Marketing One unit – Strategic Business Management and Planning will be assessed by a written three-hour examination which is externally marked by ABE. The remaining four units will EACH be assessed by an assignment of (3,500 +/- words) only, which is internally marked by the College or by Management Approaches and moderated by ABE. Both the examination and the assignments are marked out of 100 and carry equal weighting. Students will be given a mark each time a piece of work is assessed. To pass the unit requires a pass mark of 40% or above. Please note: The mark awarded by ABE on the examination and assignment is the mark awarded to the student. ABE exams are offered twice a year (in the first week of June and December) and students must register with ABE and pay an annual subscription fee and exam fees. Exams are organised by ABE externally at various locations in London. A student must fulfil at least one of the following criteria along with proficiency in english atleast Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) B2. A student must fulfil at least ONE of the following criteria to be allowed entry onto the programme: Possession of ABE’s Graduated Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Business Management or Business Administration* Possession of a Graduated Diploma, Advanced Diploma in another ABE programme* Possession of an honours degree in a related subject Possession of a level 6 qualification from another internationally recognised awarding organisation Five years’ senior management experience A student may progress to the Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (QCF) if he/she has ONE* unit of the Graduated Diploma or Advanced Diploma yet to be passed, but cannot be awarded the Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (QCF) until subsequently passing the remaining Graduated Diploma or Advanced Diploma unit. Completion of this course with outstanding grades in the above modules would lead to admissions by top British Universities at an MBA level. This would place the individual in high demand by organisations.
